Tomorrow marks two weeks until the big day and once again this week I’m bringing some festivity to my blog. Christmas is not all about presents, it’s about spending time with family and enjoying each other’s company. But in this post, I want to focus on the presents and specifically my Christmas wish list, which I hope might give you some gift or wish list ideas.
I’ve wanted a phone for about a year and this Christmas I’m hoping my wish comes true. As much as I want an iPhone X, I haven’t asked for one due to its extremely high price tag. Instead, I’ve gone back a few generations and asked for an iPhone 6. I’ve been addicted to the unboxing videos on YouTube and now I’ve just got to wait until Christmas day, fingers crossed. If you’re wondering where to get a good deal on the iPhone 6, I suggest to check out Telstra’s prepaid, it has sold out online but I believe stores can order it in.
I was browsing the internet back last month when I came across an amazing organisation based in the US called The Giving Keys. I was hooked instantly when browsing their website and especially hearing their story and background. The business gives the homeless jobs by making key necklaces, bracelets and earrings. (It is such a quirky idea that is very popular worldwide as I soon found out.) I’m hoping for a matte black necklace with the word BREATHE stamped onto it. Check out their site for more details.
As I said in a blog post a couple of weeks ago, I recently subscribed to Netflix for the first time. Everyone had been cracking on about it for too long so I had to experience it myself. Since subscribing I haven’t looked back and I have asked for some iTunes gift cards to go towards the monthly payment. I thought I would give it a go to start with before putting this item on my list with the result being it is definitely worth the money.
An item which I actually know I am receiving, seeing as I made the purchase, is a ticket to Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical. I plan to go to at least one musical a year because I enjoy them so much and Priscilla seemed to be the go. My Grandma, Mum and I will be watching it in February and I can’t wait! I’ve also got my eye on Mamma Mia which visits Melbourne in July 2018, I think I’ll add it to my birthday list.
As much as I would be extremely grateful for these items, I am more excited to be spending some time with my family. I always love waking up Christmas morning and gathering around the tree with my immediate family. Then as the day goes on I see more and more family which is what I think Christmas is all about. Presents are just a bonus, which are obviously still great fun, but there are still many more things to focus on, some we take for granted.
